Amazon top 100 Bestselling in Contemporary Romance/ Coming-of-Age/Historical Romance/Historical Romance Regency/ Erotica Humorous

I'm addicted to writing. I've written 41 romance novels My current releases include: The Girl on the Half Shell; The Girl of Tokens & Tears; The Girl of Diamonds & Rust; The Girl in the Comfortable Quiet; The Signature; Rewind; One Last Kiss; One More Kiss; One Long Kiss; When the Perfect Comes; Face to Face; Love’s Patient Fury.

I've been in love with the Romance novel since I read my first Kathleen Woodiwiss book, and it seems to me that beyond a steamy fun read, a good romance novel is so much more: it is women empowering women. We share. We learn.

So about me? I'm as eclectic as my books. A mom. A grandmother. A business owner. A writer of romance. An advocate for clean air and the environment. A wife and an animal lover. The best way to explain me is that once in a talent contest I played classical piano followed by a chopsticks duet with my toes. That pretty much sums up how I've lived my life!

The Bachelor SEASON 20 FINALE

WARNING: SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! DON'T READ UNLESS YOU'VE WATCHED THE SEASON FINALE OF BEN'S JOURNEY TO FINDING LOVE!

Ben’s season of The Bachelor will be unforgettable. If you’re a fan of the TV show on ABC, then you know exactly what I’m talking about.

At the beginning of the season, Ben made it clear that he thought he was unlovable. With a handsome face like his, how could he ever think such a thing? Ben was definitely the hottest Bachelor yet! His journey to finding love was filled with raw emotion, ups and downs, girl fights, and 28 women battling for the attention of one man… Wow… He had his hands full.

Last Monday, Ben had to pick between two women he loved: Lauren and Jojo. Both women were incredible and deserved nothing more than to be loved. But, in the end, he chose Lauren, the woman he couldn’t imagine his life without.

My opinion: I was always Team Amanda Stanton. When he eliminated her, I was not only shocked, but speechless and pissed off. Amanda was one of the best women on the show, and would’ve been perfect for him. And I can’t forget to mention her two BEAUTIFUL daughters.

Once Amanda was gone (tears), I was on Team Lauren. I flip-flopped back and forth from Lauren and Jojo… a lot… But, I knew, in the pit of my stomach, that Ben was more in love with Lauren than Jojo. I knew exactly who he would pick to soon be his wife.

So, in the end, Lauren won over Ben’s heart. He got down on one knee and made tears stream like crazy from my eyes. He asked Lauren to marry him, in the most beautiful way possible.

I’m so happy for them both. They both deserve to be happy. Call me crazy, but, us fans at home, go through this journey with these people, and get emotionally attached like we’ve known Ben and the girls their whole lives.

Congrats, Ben and Lauren Higgins! I wish you a happy and lifelong marriage. You two deserve nothing but happiness. <3

P.S. JOJO IS THE NEW BACHELORETTE!!!! Tune in May 23rd to start this crazy journey with the one and only, Jojo. I hope she finds love, because she really deserves it. Good luck, Jojo!

To the Boy Who Broke Me

I think back to the day often, the day when you broke me emotionally and shattered my heart like a mirror; leaving it scattered all over the floor. I remember that day like it was yesterday. Sometimes when I think back, I press my hand against my heart as I remember the pain.

The pain… It was awful. You left me for another girl, another girl who would end up deceiving you like you deserved.

All the signs were there. It was right in front of my face, but I refused to believe the raw facts that were practically thrown from the sky; knocking me over the head. The thing is, when you love someone so much, you hide all the hurtful things they do or say. You love them, you can’t help it. You want more than anything to see the best in them, even if that means covering up the bad.

I remember going home. I slammed my door shut so hard; framed pictures fell off the wall. I dropped to my knees in the middle of my room. Tears were streaming down my face like a waterfall. They wouldn’t stop. I held my arms around my stomach, rocking back and forth. It was getting hard to breathe. I started hyperventilating.

My heart hurt. It hurt so much. I thought, in that moment, I was going to die right then and there from a broken heart.

I loved you so much. I loved you more than you deserved. You tore my whole world apart and sent me spiraling into oblivion. You shattered me, every part of me. I was completely and utterly broken and it was all your fault. You did that to me. You hurt me so much to the point I thought I was dying.

I wish you could feel the pain I felt that day. I wish more than anything you could get a taste of it, and experience the aching I had, not only in my heart, but in my world. Everything felt pointless. Life felt meaningless without you in it, well, that’s what I thought at the time.

I don’t hate you. I should hate you, but I don’t. I needed to encounter that pain so I could finally open my eyes and realize how toxic you were for me. You and I were like fire and gasoline; two people who don’t belong together.

It wasn’t all bad…

You did teach me a lot. You taught me how to love unconditionally and wholeheartedly, to open myself up to bigger opportunities in life, to feel a passion that lit a fire up inside of me, to challenge me, and most importantly, you taught me to care about someone other than myself.

But, you were not meant to stay in my life, only to cross my path and teach me things that would make me a better person. You did break me… Ohhh you broke me so bad. But, this is me, thanking you for shattering my heart, because if you didn’t, then I wouldn’t be the woman I am today.

Blog Tour for A Thirty-Something Girl by Lisa M. Gott

Blog Tour:
A Thirty-Something Girl
by
Lisa M. Gott
Feb 22nd – Feb 29th

A Thirty-Something Girl follows the story of Hope. At the age of 30, she finds her life in utter shambles. Everything that could go wrong has – divorce, loss of a child, financial struggles. It is the love and unfettered support of her close friends who keep her from being lost in the quicksand of utter despair. As she slowly begins to wrap her head around who she is and what it means to be happy, she meets a man, Sam. Sam is also not a stranger to hardship and finds himself at his own crossroads. Together they find comfort and peace in one another; a soft, quiet place to fall, when the rest of the world is too hard and too noisy to inhabit.

A Thirty-Something Girl is a story about the power of human resilience, the importance of friendships, and the magic of true love. It is a story that teaches us (and reminds us) that happiness is actually a very simple concept: it is a choice. A choice we must remember to make each and every day.

Lisa M. Gott was born in Washington, DC, but found home in the heart of her husband. When she’s not weaving words, you’ll find her listening to the whispers of the wind, dancing in the rain, or curled up with a stack of books and a rich, intoxicating cup of coffee.

Her stories tell of the human spirit – sometimes sad, sometimes not – most can relate to them on some level or another.

Sneak Peak Into I'M YOURS

EXCERPT from I'm Yours:

The next day I stay in bed, drowning myself in tears. Cole’s been knocking at my door again today, but I can’t move. The pain hurts too much. I want to give up on everything and lie in this bed for the rest of my life.

It’s mid-day and the curtains are shut tight. It’s like a dungeon in here—just the way I want and need it right now.

I don’t want to move.

I want to continue staring off into space and imagine how beautiful my life used to be.

I remember when Cole restored my holiday spirit. He made me fall in love with Christmas, even though I hated every single thing about it. Where is that man? Where is the man I fell so deeply in love with? He’s not here. He’s lost.

There were no signs. Maybe I read everything wrong. Or maybe… Just maybe… Deep down inside I knew. Did he do it because I deserved the pain? Was I just no good enough to pursue anymore, even though he married me? I did everything right. I was nice, genuine, treated him like a man should be treated.

So why did he do this? Why didn’t he choose to make love to me instead of her?

I’m numb… Broken… Hurt… Devastated… My heart is broken into pieces. I’ve been crying… hard… I feel like my heart is being ripped from my chest. That’s how he is making me feel. He did this to me. He caused this pain.

Releasing February 14th!
