Queen of the South

I have a new TV show addiction... Can you guess what it is?! Well, it is very obvious. QUEEN OF THE SOUTH! Where has this show been my whole life? If you know me, then you know I'm a TV show fanatic. I love getting my binge on. Who doesn't?

In this world, you don't become what you want, you become what you have to.

Queen of the South first aired on June 23, 2016. ONE DAY BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY! Why did it take me over a year to watch it? Errrr.

Here's what it's about according to Google:
Teresa flees Mexico after her drug-runner boyfriend is murdered. Settling in Dallas she looks to become the country's reigning drug smuggler and to avenge her lover's murder.

Here's one reason why I love it: James.

Hello, hotness! Peter Gadiot stars as James in Queen of the South. James works for Camila's cartel in Texas as a drug-runner and has worked his way up to be her #2. James is my type of bad boy (minus the drug-runner career). Let me just leave a million pictures of him below for you.

Who is this Camila that James works for? Just the baddest bitch who you should never dare cross. She even looks like someone you would never want to mess with. #BadassBitch

Life is for the living. Now pull yourself together, we still have work to do.
-Camila

Camila Vargas (played by Verónica Falcón) is the leader of one of the upcoming cartel's in Texas. She's the wife of Mexico drug cartel leader, Epifanio. Do they get along? Not so much. They both compete with each other through the series, and Camila would love nothing more than to destroy her husband's business.

Women in this business, we can not afford to look weak. Don't ever make that mistake again.
-Camilla

I've mentioned everyone except for the MAIN CHARACTER. Teresa Mendoza.

Here's what USA Network has to say about her:
Teresa Mendoza is a poor young woman from the “barrio” of Jalisco, Mexico who found a way to rise above her hopeless conditions—first by falling in love with a successful member of a drug cartel, then eventually by creating her own powerful drug empire and becoming one of the wealthiest women in the world.

So you think Camila is a bad bitch? Well, Teresa is rising to the top. Throughout the seasons, you will see Teresa change abruptly and work side by side with the one and only Camila Vargas.

Check out Queen of the South on Netflix and on USA Network every Thursday night at 10/9c. Get your binge going! #QueenOfTheSouth
